WE ARE CURRENTLY WAITING FOR OUR 2024-2025 CONGRESSIONAL APPROPRIATIONS AND WILL NOT BE AWARDING GRANTS UNTIL EARLY 2025.
You may submit applications for projects taking place after March 2025, but we will not be able to award grants until after we have received our federal funds. Contact Zoe Kaylor for more information.
Kentucky Humanities is please to announce some changes to our grant program. Effective 11/1/2023 we have increased our maximum grant amount to $2,500. We have also moved the entire aplication process online. The application process is still a two-step process. First, you must complete the draft grant application (preliminary proposal). Once the draft has been received and reviewed, you will receive an email inviting you to complete the final proposal or a reject email with an explanation.
Final proposals are due the first of each month and at least eight weeks prior to the start of your project (i.e., for an event happening 3/26/24, the final proposal is due by 1/1/24).
While applications may be submitted only from organizations, and not individuals, the organization must have a UEI and be registered in SAM.gov. Please have this number ready when you begin the grant application process. You may proceed with the preliminary grant application without this number, but we will not award the grant until we can verify the registration of the organization in SAM.gov.
Please call or write if you have any questions about the process: zoe.kaylor@uky.edu or 859-257-5932.
